We are aiming the site at British living in the area of what was the Poitou Charentes, as well as in surrounding areas in France.
They are not easy to reach online and we think this provides a worthwhile advertising opportunity.We do not track users and so we are not using Google Ads or other advertising targeted by cookies and tracking data.
At the moment we are allowing a small number of advertisers to place banner adverts which appear on the bottom of individual questions and also lists of questions.The adverts are 728 x 150 pixels in the form of images with links to websites or contact pages for the advertisers. They are randomly displayed from a pool of advertisements on the website and the advertising will not be specifically related to the questions and any answers.We accept advertising from anyone offering a service or product which we think will be of interest to any of the users of the website.
By accepting advertisements we are not endorsing any of the products or services and we reserve the right to remove them if we receive complaints from our users.To start with you supply a suitable advert image (jpg) and we put it in a pool of adverts which will be displayed when pages are created and they will be displayed at random.
The adverts will be valid for 6 months from the first insertion and we will count the number of views for each advert for information. The number will be restricted initially to 20 adverts, although this may change as we are able to assess the site's traffic.Because the website is new we are not able to tell the number of views for any advertisement. We do not want to charge per view as this would be quite complicated and difficult to budget for the advertiser, so we are proposing for the first advertisement a fixed charge for a period of 6 months from first insertion.
Normally cost per thousand impressions online will vary from $3-$10 so based on €3/cpm we propose a cost of €30 for an advert (+€30 if you want us to produce a suitable file format) for 6 months. We will count impressions for your advert and if it does not receive 10,000 impressions, we will keep it on the site until it does.
In future once we have a better idea of the level of traffic we will try to refine this process.

We will need to produce an image of a suitable size and have a link URL (say, to your website) for anyone who wants to find out more. If you have a suitable image (jpg - 728x150px) that is ideal, if not an idea of what you want to include (with any images) and we will produce something to look at.
